| Bear died April 25, 2008. He was about 13 years old. Initially when Tom adopted Bear, it read on his cage "Hard to Handle". Despite that he was returned twice to the shelter, Tom decided upon one look at Bear, with his white fluffy hair and enthusiastic response to Tom upon meeting him, that he would take the chance. Bear has been Gallery Mascot for 11 years. Everyone knows Bear in Cambridge and misses him immensely. He was famous for his bark and for carrying chips, cups and other assorted objects proudly and carefully to the gallery for events! All of our artists, poets, sculptors and neighborhood family remembers Bear as that dog that just seemed to walk around on his own and lay comfortably on the sidewalk in front of the gallery! Hugs, barks and many kisses to Bear! ![]() |
